Apple Crisp - Dad's Favorite

8 servings

4 cups sliced apples
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup water
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish

Place apples in prepared dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon.  Pour water over all.  In a bowl, cream together sugar and butter.  Sprinkle mixture evenly over apples.

Bake in preheated oven 30-40 minutes, until apples are tender and crust is golden
Serve with cream, ice-cream or whip cream.
