1 package Oreos with chocolate cream filling
3/4 cube margarine, melted
1/2 gallon ice cream, mint chip
8 ounces light frozen whipped topping, thawed
Crumble up the cookies. I run mine through my salad shooter. It works great. You can also use a food processor or do it hand by putting them into a zip lock and use a rolling pin to crush them.
Melt butter and combine with the cookie crumbs. Press mixture evenly across the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish or in a 9 " pie plate press the mixture all the way up the sides of the pan; pack tightly so the crust is even and compacted.
Soften or slice 1/2 gallon of mint chip ice-cream. Gently spread to fill evenly. Spread the ice-cream with cool whip.
Cover and freeze at least two hours to firmly set.
You can garnish this dessert with chocolate syrup and a maraschino cherry. Or you can just crumble chocolate cookies on top.
