1 cup celery - diced and sauteed
1 cup onion- diced and sauteed
1 tablespoon pimento (optional)
I tablespoon margarine
2 cups chicken breast, cooked and cooled
2 cans Pillsbury crescent rolls
8 ounces cream cheese
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Melt butter in pan. Saute' onions and celery until softened. Add cream cheese and melt until smooth. Add chicken, salt, pepper and pimento and mix well.
Separate dough into 4 rectangles. Firmly press perforations to seal.
Spoon 1/2 cup mixture onto center of each rectangle. Pull 4 corners of dough to center of chicken mixture, twist firmly. Pinch edges to seal.
Place on un-greased cookie sheet. Brush tops of sandwiches with 1 tablespoon melted margarine. You can sprinkle with crushed croutons to garnish.
Bake at 350 degrees F. for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
