Corn Fritters


1 1/3 cup flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2/3 cup milk
1 egg
1 Tbsp shortning
1 cup canned corn

Mix as for muffins (leave lumps). Add corn quickly.  Fry by spoonfuls into hot deep fat fryer.
